Make sure you have the best fire protection system for your Data Centre
The Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus is used to secure facilities and rooms with heightened safety requirements and high value irreplaceable assets.
The system sucks air out from the protected environment and instantly samples the quality of air passing the VESDA allowing for the earliest possible detection of a fire, even if the smoke is not visible to the human eye.
The VESDA System is built of a network of aspiring pipes and a detector with a laser head with a sensitivity range from 0.005%/m to 20%/m (conventional point-type detectors have an average sensitivity range of around 5%/m).
The aspiring pipes continuously draw air from the protected environment which can either comprise premises, sub-floor space, above ceiling space, as well as specific devices like servers, telephone switchboards, and air conditioners, etc.
Four alarm stages ensure instant detection of smoke regardless of the conditions in the protected environment.
VESDA is compatible with other alarm systems.
L, ULC, FM, LPCB, VdS, CE - EMC and CPD, EN 54-20
These systems are based on gases present in the atmosphere, e.g.: NITROGEN, ARGON, carbon dioxide. We offer extinguishing systems based on a working pressure of 300 bar. Inert gas suppression systems are characterised by zero ozone depletion potential (ODP=0) and a global warming potential of 1 (GWP=1).
They are intended to extinguish class A and B fire hazards and live electrical equipment.
These systems are based on reducing the oxygen concentration inside the protected hazard.
Deployment examples:
SUG: NOVEC 1230, FM-200.
Extinguishing agents like FM-200® (DuPont) and NOVEC 1230TM (3M) belong to the group of Halon replacement agents that are characterised by zero ozone depletion potential (ODP=0). The NOVEC 1230TM fire suppression agent has a global warming potential of 1 (GWP=1). The FM-200® and NOVEC 1230 TM fire suppression systems are intended to extinguish class A and B fire hazards and live electrical equipment. Extinguishing a fire does not consist of reducing the ozone levels but occurs through the physical contact of the fire suppression agent with the fire. These systems must be used in enclosed spaces.
